Non-Operative Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a very common complaint or cause of pain. At PICSM we are able to evaluate and treat arthritis throughout the body. We are able to provide patients with a spectrum of treatment options, tailoring treatments to each individual’s needs and pain level. These may include:
-
Low dose steroid/cortisone injections
-
Viscosupplementation injections
-
Regenerative medicine
-
Nerve blocks
Neck and Back pain
The spine is complex and made up of many different structures, including the discs, spinal cord and all of its branches, facet joints, ligaments, and muscles. Many of these structures attach to multiple areas along the spine and connect to other areas such as the hip or shoulder. The nerves branch from our spinal cord to go everywhere in our body. This is why each area of your spine needs to be evaluated and treated as a functional unit. At PICSM we look at neck and back pain quite differently and consider spine health in many of our treatment recommendations. We have many different treatments to offer for neck and back pain that do not include cover-ups such as narcotics, or harmful high-dose steroid injections that are unfortunately still being routinely offered and performed.
Joint pain
PICSM will treat you from head to toe. Whether it’s your foot, hand, shoulder, or knee that’s bothering you, we would like to help you decrease your pain and gain function. We are able to evaluate with X-ray and ultrasound during your appointment. We can order MRIs, CTs, and other imaging and then review that imaging and help interpret results. We deal with new joint pain and chronic joint pain.
Ligament and Tendon Injury
Did you recently sprain your ankle? Do you have an ongoing patellar tendon issue? At PICSM we are able to combine a thorough history and physical exam with appropriate imaging to give you an accurate diagnosis and guide you in your treatment options, which may include:
-
Low-dose steroid injections
-
Nerve blocks
-
Regenerative medicine
Acute Orthopedic injuries
At PICSM we understand that injuries happen and that you need to be seen sooner rather than later. We are happy to offer the walk-in service for our patients. We want to get you evaluated so that we can start you on the path to recovery.

Walk-ins are welcome Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

We have X-ray and ultrasound available onsite.
